Case Against Legend Movie,Court Stalled It's Release To May
By Suryateja - Wednesday, 26 March 2014
Gayatri Devi Films, which is a leading distribution company in Uttar Andhra, approached Court to stall the release of Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer 'Legend'.
Apparently, Gayatri Devi Films distributed both Action 3D and 1 - Nenokkadine in Uttar Andhra territory. As a result, they incurred huge losses as the two films ended up as biggest disasters of TFI. 14 Reels promised the distribution house that it would cover the loss with their future projects 'Legend' and 'Aagadu'.
However, the producers failed to keep their promise and sold out Uttar Andhra rights to VBM Reddy for a whooping Rs 3.43 crore. At last, Gayatri Devi Films seeked the intervention of court for justice.
14 Reels have been holding talks with Gayatri Devi Films for an outside the court settlement to ensure 'Legend' gets a smooth release on March 28th. This is another blow to the makers who are already facing Censor issues. Hope, all these issues will be sorted out at the earliest!
